K2 has stepped into the ring this season with a high dollar, high performance, eco-friendly snowboard. K2 is saying it’s the lightest board they have ever made…and quite possibly, the lightest anyone has ever made. That’s all fine and dandy – but, will it nose press a triple kink, stomp a double dipper & does it have double reverse half camber with a power channel running up the middle with a patented magic injected core?

I’m confused about this shoe. Is it a dancing shoe or a skate shoe? To me, it looks like dancing. Maybe a Flamenco or some kind of Latin hip shaker. Whatever the case may be, Dylan is a seriously good skater. If he wants to go & skate in some dancing shoes…well, so be it. Gravis has always put out footwear a little left of center. That’s a good thing.

WWII inspired-art graces these longboards. They’re pretty sweet. All you need is a drab green wet suit and you can do your best to keep everything quiet on the western front.

Putting snowboards on the roof is always better than in the car after a powder-filled romp on the hill. Thule has been the name in roof rack systems for as long as I can remember. Simple design that works. Sounds Swedish to me.

Finally, an alternative to peeing in your wetsuit in an attempt to keep yourself warm. Quik’s new vest can be charged up in the car, at home and will keep you warm for hours. I just used mine yesterday in New Zealand in 47 degree water. I ran a 4/3 with a hood and with the vest I was actually hot.

File this one under WTF? When would you need underpants for your hands? More importantly, if you have gravy stains on them…everyone will know where they came from. That would actually be amazing…if they came with skid marks. Wow…you know the dude who invented these is going to make a mil easy. I think I’m going to make a testicle bra.

A gutted Dodge sprinter van can be customized to a small home on wheels. There are a few of these rolling around my town…they are nothing but concentrated awesomeness.

In the quest for epic powder, you will eventually find yourself in an area not maintained by ski areas. This is the best place to find amazing terrain.
