The Naked & Famous’ album Passive Me Aggressive You has been out in the UK for awhile. We only have the single Punching In A Dream in our US iTunes. A little searching on the old internet will yield the whole album – we found it on Amazon. It’s a lot like MIA or Johnny Foreigner, meaning rocking synth vibe. Pick it up. It’s feel good riding music.

I’m stoked to see this movie. Then again, I really liked Blue Crush and Surf’s Up. So, I’ve established I’m easily entertained. However, I think Bethany is friggen awesome. What a comeback she’s made. Kind of shits on the dudes claiming a comeback from a sport’s injury.

The first thing I liked about this vid was the use of The Naked & The Famous’ song Punching In A Dream. A good song can make you like a shit video. Now, I am not saying this 2010 season of hurricane surf vid is shit, but often times a good song can save a crap edit.

YES! A new Battlestar Galactica series has been green lit for the Sci Fi channel. If you don’t know what’s up with modern awesome tv shows, go & buy the Battlestar Galactica box set right now. It really was the best show on tv.

Surfing in the 70s must have been a lot like surfing at 5am every day in Encinitas. Not a lot of people around and friggen cold. I say cold because wetsuits must have sucked ass back then. At least there weren’t a bunch of douche-nozzles on soft tops creating a foam minefield to navigate every day.

I love this band. AYWKUBTTOD has been putting out layered, epic, deep, somewhat angry music for a long time. Their new album just dropped … man, is it a doozy! Songs starting slow and wondering off into the forest of melodic punk rock make me wonder why they haven’t become a mega band. Oh wait … I remember now … they don’t have a 13 year-old boy with a bowl cut for a singer.

thirtytwo and Etnies are dropping vids to promote their roster’s super squad of am’s. These days, there are not many differences between what these guys and the pro’s are throwing down. Well … except for the cash-lined bank accounts.

This is the first ‘people review’ that will inevitably piss people off.
I introduce … Side Kick Mike. He might be the best thing to hit the human race since the opposable thumb. A wonderful ball of joy wrapped inside one of the most angst-filled, neurotic packages I’ve ever met. Every word exiting his mouth is pure gold. He is undoubtedly bound for super-stardom via the Quiksilver/Todd Richards Todcasts. ( GO AND WATCH THEM HERE )
In summary, SKM is my new must-have accessory on any & all of trips. He’s better entertainment than an iPad full of apps.

Just when you thought the only thing to play on your iPhone was Angry Birds. I knew it was just a matter of time before someone threw a snowboard game into the mix. Now, it’s no Tony Hawk Pro Skater … but it is mildly entertaining.
