If you like rally cars, Ken Block, video games & beer – click like. The new Dirt3 game is out now. It features a variety of new modes, like Ken Block’s famous Gymkhana segments. The graphics are all time. You can almost feel the dirt hitting you in the face as you Scandi flick around corners. I was kidding about beer being in the game … but you can still drink a beer while playing.

Remember these things? Man … the football game was so awesome, back before cell phones. I think I owned the Donkey Kong Jr. hand-held. I also had some Dungeons & Dragons game like that, too. It’s funny to think my watch now has better graphics.

Warm up those thumbs PS3 owners. There’s finally a game inspiring you to blow the dust off your oversized, expensive, George Foreman-looking, gaming unit that’s been dormant since the last PS3 exclusive Uncharted 2 released two years ago. Killzone 3 is exactly what I like in my gaming experience. Guns, explosions and the occasional knife to the eye-socket.

Just when you thought the only thing to play on your iPhone was Angry Birds. I knew it was just a matter of time before someone threw a snowboard game into the mix. Now, it’s no Tony Hawk Pro Skater … but it is mildly entertaining.

Dead Space 2 just dropped. I had a chance to tinker with the demo a few weeks back, and it’s amazing. If you’re into creeping around in dimly lit corridors (not in real life … because then you would be a creep … and should seek metal health help asap), while scary half-dead monsters try to liberate your head from your body – this is the game for you.

Yep … the people behind Call Of Duty Black Ops are about to make another ton of money. This new map pack comes out the 1st of February. I need to start padding my schedule now.

Turn your iPad into a mini stand-up arcade. This is hot-off-the-press from the Consumer Electronics Show that just went down in Vegas. It looks like it will be out in April. I wonder how many AWSM readers even remember going to the arcade to play games? Seeing as how cell phones now have better graphics …. I’m guessing not many.

Yep … just when you thought the snowboard video game genre was dead, SSX is back with some weird soldier of fortune snowboard game. Weird … right?

If you want to play a fun & easy racing game, go play Mario Kart. If you want a real driving simulator that lets you customize everything from toe & camber to oil weight, get Grand Turismo 5. Yes … it’s finally out. Sony took their time with this one. It was worth the wait.

I like this app. You get to shoot down Tie Fighters from the quad gun position of the Millennium Falcon against whatever background you point your phone at. So theoretically, you could watch Star Trek or Sex In The City and spice it up with some light dogfighting. Coming soon to the iPhone.
