Full Bleed: New York City Skateboard Photography at awsm.com
Full Bleed: New York City Skateboard Photography

New York City & skateboarding have an amazing relationship lasting over the past 30 years or so. My first real exposure to skating in NY came from the second Powell video Future Primitive. The scene in the Big Apple has come a long way since Lance rolled over a dead rat back in the 80s. This book has amazing photos from all of the eras skating has evolved through. From Harold Hunter to the Brooklyn banks…everything is in this one.

Thrasher Magazine Ramp Plans at awsm.com
Thrasher Magazine Ramp Plans

Thrasher skateboard magazine has been around since I first picked up a skateboard almost 30 years ago. Thrasher ramp plans has been around just as long. What started out as a little leaflet that you could order from the back of the magazine has become a detailed how-to for all your backyard ramp dreams. I really wish that we had used some kind of plans when we all made our first ramp back in ’84 or ’85. Plans probably would have helped prevent the mega slam, that for the past 26 years, allows a piece of floating hip bone to occasionally swim to the surface of my skin & remind me of how shitty that first wooden death trap was.
